Founded in 2011, and based in Cambridge, MA, Trovare, Inc. is a start-up company focused on developing new solutions to enhance the way people connect. As social networks have grown in popularity, virtual communities have been formed and people have started to replace real life connections with virtual ones

 

As we move through life, smart devices, such as mobile phones have become our main source of information, a filter, and a distraction.

How many times have you gone out lately and found your friends or other people engrossed in the virtual world of their mobile devices and have lost the ability to hold a true conversation?

How many of you have wanted to meet new people, and yet relied on the virtual world to make a connection?

When was the last time you met a new person in real life without knowing everything about them first? Seeing a photo, reading their bio on Facebook, LinkedIn or some other social network?

Have you ever go to a social event with friends, and they are the only people you ended up talking with?

Where has the mystery or intrigue of meeting a new person in
real life gone?

It is so hard to go up to a person you don't know and truly start a conversation with them out of thin air. This is the dilemma we saw standing before us.

Trovare, Inc was founded in 2011 from this idea that was conceived while on vacation. The idea sprung from us noticing most people had a lot of problems trying to meet new people and open conversation with strangers. The worst part was you never knew if a person you could end up talking with was a good match for you and your interests.

Our first step was to find out if there was something in the market that satisfied this need. After searching tirelessly, we found no real product or service that offered anything close to what we desired. There were some mobile applications that were hinting at this idea, but none that had successfully come close to finding a viable solution or manifesting
our idea.

 

Next, we analyzed current technologies and the mobile application market to see if we could find something that satisfied our criteria for creating a product or service that would provide us with a solution to filling this hole in the market. As we delved deeper into this realm, we found that current technologies lacked the desired approach and experience we believed people desire. Technology tries to make things easier or faster but recently it has created more barriers than solutions.

Our goal was simple to provide a product or service the seamlessly integrated with peoples lives and worked in the background to help people make new relevant real life connections.

Trovare, Inc. wants to bring connecting back to real life and is providing the missing link between real life connections and the social networks. We are creating new ways for people to connect and establish or maintain a connection in real life and online.
